Unique and very old boxwoods from one of Hans Christian Andersen’s living places

From his letters we know that the world famous author Hans Christian Andersen was a frequent guest at the estate of Holsteinborg during the years 1856-1874.

He has very likely been walking the park or sitting on a bench, writing some of his beloved fairy tales and novels next to these very same Boxwoods that are still alive.

And that is a fascinating and mesmerising thought! If only they could speak and share their memories like the one from his fairy tale The Fir Tree!
